Steer Clear

I am learning how to play the guitar and attempting to find my singing voice! I have the best teacher (my husband), but sometimes I get so frustrated and give up. I woke up today more determined to succeed at my music; my quote happened to flow out of my mouth as I sprung out of bed! I was thinking that fear has a lot to do with frustration, at least for me, I feel as though I am scared of failure. I have so much passion to learn that I do not want to defraud myself from what I know I am capable of doing. It's hard but, I want to stop being scared of the "what ifs", What if I make a fool of myself? What if I'm not as good as I think? What if I fail? PERO, como dicen mis papas, el hubiera no existe!! Lets live in the present, even for the little things like singing and learning a new instrument; you can't get better without practice! And trying isn't failing, it is improving and achieving!

    Your husband is your teacher? That is awesome! Dont give up. Quitting lasts forever. Frustration and embarrassment are temporary. El hubiera no existe! Your parents say that? I thought it was Maria Daniela haha. Do you know that song?

My bf heard a this quote somewhere-and its always stuck with me-- "failure is merely preparation for the future"-- how uplifting and encouraging is that? As a society we look down on failure, never once did I think to see failure as a positive!
