It is starting to feel a lot like winter, in my neck of the woods. It has been snowing the last few days, but less than 3 centimeters, so it's not bad at all. But since it is relatively humid here, and add the wind chill, it gets to about -7. 

I thought I really disliked cold weather, but I have been thinking about it,  over a nice hot cup of tea, and it actually does not bother me! Ha, that last bit rhymes. Cold weather can be annoying, sometimes. For example, when my toes and fingers start to go numb, or when my nose starts to run because it is so cold, hahaha, ewh.

Anyways, I came to the conclusion that cold, snowy weather can be, is beautiful. The mountains, which my city is surrounded by, are covered with snow, and it's gorgeous. The miracle of snowflakes, so precious! There are perks, like walking  hand in hand, to our favorite restaurant for a big bowl of boiling, hot pho. Making a big pot of tea and cuddling under a big blanket on the couch, while watching Grounded for Life. Oh, and the crisp air nipping at your nose, is so cold, it's refreshing. 

A few childhood memories that came back to me today: playing in the snow, going to the mountain, snowboarding, tobogganing, building forts, and having snow ball fights with kids from another block.

I've created a "to do" list for these winter months. Photos of me doing stuff from the "to do" list will be posted on my instagram (ninaonthemoon) and at the end of winter, on here! :)

Taste: I'll eat some snow with honey, I will catch some snowflakes in my mouth, apple cider.

Hear: Snow being shoveled, ice cracking, wood burning/cracking, wind blowing, birds chirping!

Touch: I'll touch an icicle, make a snow angel, have a snow ball fight

Smell: Burning wood
