Sophia here, guest blogging for my dear friend Nina On The Moon while she is away in Mexico probably having the time of her life. In honour (spelled the Canadian way) of my friend I thought I'd share with you some images of a beautiful surrealist castle that lies in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi. Created by Edward James, Las Pozas is 80 acres and 5 million dollars of concrete surrealist sculptures along side waterfalls and pools.
Las Pozas is near the village of Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, a seven-hour drive north of Mexico City. In the early 1940s, James went to Los Angeles, and then decided that he "wanted a Garden of Eden set up . . . and I saw that Mexico was far more romantic” -Wiki Wikipedia
Look ma, no safety rails!

Climbing this puppy made my palms sweat and heart rate increase for reals
I had never heard of this place till I saw it in a Mexican magazine. I was amazed and vowed to go one day. I went during Semana Santa, Mexico's holy week/time of the year where the whole country gets vacation. Basically a giant rager.
Twas a fine day for puss in boots to hang from things.
In a concrete jail of emotion
