Light my candles, in a daze 'cause I've found God

The shirt I am wearing in this outfit post, is actually my husbands, but we share it ;) He has had it since he was THIRTEEN years old! With my latest addiction to do it yourself projects, an old pair of high waisted jeans were given a new identity as shorts, and I am loving them.

Nirvana, is my favorite everything.
I'm not going to lie and pretend like I've been a fan for ages, I'm still a Rookie in the musical phenomenon. I remember the night my husband and I met four years ago; it was a warm spring night, and we were chilling on a couch on a balcony overlooking downtown Vancouver, talking about everything, including music. He mentioned that he was a huge Nirvana fan; taking notes in my head, I remembered that I had randomly borrowed the Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York CD from a friend (and had uploaded it onto my iPod). Clearly, I decided to act like I was an avid listener, and asked what his favorite Nirvana song was, whipped out my iPod and suggested we listen to it ;) Smooth. There is nothing wrong with a girl who knows want she wants. This was my first encounter with a Nirvana song, that wasn't Smells like teen spirit, jajaja.

I knew I had to do my Nirvana research and listen to some songs during the next few days, so that when he asked me something, I wouldn't be stumped. This is how my love for the greatest band of all time began. I seemed to loose track of time while listening to them, it was something my ears, heart and soul had longed for; that connection to something so raw, so pure and so sincere.

I've listened to Nirvana, at least once a day since that life changing encounter. If you haven't listened or watched the Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York CD or DVD, I strongly recommend it. My husband is also teaching me how to play a few Nirvana songs on the guitar...speaking of, it's time for my guitar lessons from my esposo.  Xox.

Ps- Who is your favorite band?

  7. I heart this outfit, and that shirt is totally RAD! I wish I could loot my husband's wardrobe because I would love to wear some of his stuffz, but he thinks that if I've worn it, then it's girly.
