Phew, you can retrieve DELETED posts!

As I was organizing labels for my blog, I accidentally deleted two posts that had previously been published. I was a little worried, since they were ones from last week, so I tried googling "how to recover deleted posts from Blogger."

Much to my surprise, I found one, but the instructions were kind of confusing, hence why it took me about two hours to figure out! 

Anyways, I'm going to attempt to write an easy to understand way of retrieving your deleted posts from blogger! Here I go...

Step 1: Find your blogID.

Find your BLOGID by clicking on "POSTS" in your blogger dashboard. Now look at the URL and copy and paste the "blogID=5576296887275954861" into your notepad.

Step 2: Find your postID.

A) If you remember your post title, type it into Google, also add the name of your blog, SEARCH. Your post will be the first one up, hover over the title/text and click the two ">>" (arrows?) that appear on the right side.

If you don't remember the title of your post, you can find it in Google Reader. then just copy and paste it into google search and go on from there! 

B) Click CACHED, it's right beside the link, under the title

C) Right click and select "Inspect Element"

D) Search for "." Your number will be different, the one I am using is just an example. Once you have it, copy and paste into your notepad.

Step 3: Add blogID and postID:

Add your blogID and postID to the following URL:

http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=_______________&postID=_______________

Step 4: Copy and paste URL into url bar/search bar, I don't know what it's called, where you type in the url address...lol, sorry. ENTER away!

Step 5: Post retrieved!

Voila! Now you can edit/publish your post! :)
