Truth Tuesday [#35]: A miracle of Angels

Truth is, yesterday was full of Angels. In the morning, my mum, husband and I went to visit my grandma where her body was laid to rest, three years ago. I remember November 4th, 2009 like it was yesterday; the heartache, the tears, the frustration and her peace. I remember holding her hand, kissing her goodbye and whispering that she will always be on my mind, and present in my heart, no matter the distance. And it's true, not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I love to close my eyes, take a deep breath and feel her presence around me, especially when I am outside. Yesterday, November 4, 2012 marked three years since her passing. While visiting her we talked about how much we all used to laugh and dance together and how much we missed her... it's always tough saying Adios to her when it's time to depart.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, besides visiting my grandma, I received a text message from my God-sister saying she was in labour! So after a late lunch, the three of us headed over to the hospital to check in. While we hung out with my God-parents in the "delivery room" waiting room, a nurse rushed in asking for Carolina...and I quickly followed her into my God-sister's delivery room.

Wow. My God-sister gave me one of the greatest gifts that can be experienced, the privilege to witness birth. I was, and quite frankly, still am in awe of the whole experience. It is so surreal to see a precious little Angel come into this big, beautiful world. It is surely an experience I will remember forever. Thank you Sis+Mi+Li for letting me be a part of your family night.

  3. It's the circle of life. Nov 4th is also the anniversary of my dad's death. We all gathered on Sunday and ate his favorite things. And Sochi was there, she never got to meet him but I'm sure she knows him. How beautiful that you got to see the birth of that precious baby.
