5 Months Maternity Outfit: Green Tartan Skirt, Faux Fur Vest and Gold

wearing: Vintage [Earrings/Necklace]- Sisters [Vest]-F21 [Shirt]- Bianca [Skirt]- Ralph Lauren [Shoes]
I don't know what it is about being pregnant, but I find myself "dressing up" a little more and even putting on makeup hahaha. I've even curled my hair a couple of times, which is rare for me. Maybe it's because Gabriel and I have been going on a lot of dates lately? We've really been enjoying these pregnancy moments; seeing my belly grow, going to appointments, brainstorming names, singing and reading to our baby, hearing our babies heartbeat, seeing our baby and feeling our baby kick!

We're also enjoying the last couple of months of "just being two!" Like going on spontaneous dates, trips and sleeping in!! :) Hahahaha. Anyways, yesterday we went on a date to a floral conservatory and this is what I wore!

Stuff A Stocking for $25 at Walmart!

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.
It isn't until recently that my family started filling up the stocking that decorated our fireplace. Yeah, we started filling up our stockings once the amount of presents under the tree started getting smaller hahaha. As a family, we usually put our names in a hat and each person draws a name...and that's the person who's stocking you have to fill, with a limit of $25. And for the other 6 that you didn't draw, you have to stuff with an item(s) valued at $5. So you can imagine our stockings get pretty stuffed hehehe.

This year I picked out my sister, Gabriela for the stocking stuffer draw, so right away I knew I'd be stuffing that sock with beauty products and some sweets! It's always a good idea to stuff stockings with things that the recipient will enjoy, I know my sister will love anything in the beauty department, since she is always trying and buying beauty products.
The task of buying stocking stuffers can be difficult because you don't want to throw just any thing in; you want the stuffers to be things that the recipient will love, while still being affordable. Right?

Just because you are purchasing stocking stuffers, doesn't mean you can't wrap'em up or make mini gift packs. One of my favorite things to do is make just that, mini gift packs. Like I mentioned previously, my sister is really into beauty/cosmetics so I decided that I would make her three beauty packs, each dedicated to something specific; nails, lips and hair.
Now when I'm making these mini gift packs, I have to go to a store that will have everything I am looking for aka a one stop shop! In this particular case, I went to Walmart, they always have a wide variety of beauty products at affordable prices!
I spent about a good hour at Walmart getting the perfect stocking stuffers for my sister.
I walked through the aisles of the beauty department looking for any good deals for any nails, lips and hair products since I was going to make her three beauty packs. In the "hair" aisle there were several boxes marked Goody $1, which totally caught my attention! We all know Goody is a reliable hair brand, so I just had to pick up a vent brush and 12 no metal hair ties. Oh, and a pack of Goody bobby pins because a girl can never have enough bobby pins hehehe. Hair pack done!

My sister takes very good care of her nails, so I wanted to get her a couple of things that she could use. I think this part was the most overwhelming, I didn't realize that just about every cosmetic brand has nail polish...in every colour imaginable, in a wide variety of prices too! I got her a cute shade of pink NYC polish for $1, a pastel-purple polish from Maybelline for $2, nail filer pack for $2, cutcile sticks for $1.38 and a mini bottle of nail polish remover for 89 cents.

And for the last mini gift pack, lips, I decided I would get her a lip moisturizer, lipsticks and lipgloss. I know my sister likes pinks and reds on her lips so I picked out Maybelline's big hit, BABY LIPS in Pink Shock (tinted moisturizer) for $4, NYC's Plumping Lip Gloss in Supersized Red for $4 and a Wet'n'Wild lipstick in Cherry Frost for $1.57.
And last but not least, I bought a 3 pack of Ferrero Rocher. My total for the 12 items came out to $24.91! I think I did a pretty good job with these mini beauty packs, don't you? My sister's stocking will be beautifully stuffed for $25!!!
Now what are you waiting for to get started on stuffing a stocking with great goodies that the recipient will love for $25?

Five Months Maternity Outfit For Date Night: LBD with a Fur Collar

wearing: Vintage [Earrings] - Vintage  [Fur Collar]- G2000 [Dress] - BeWild [Shoes]

A couple nights ago Gabriel and I had a romantic night out and this is what I wore; My very comfortable velour little black dress, vintage clip-on earrings, booties and a fur collar for that fancy touch!

Now don't ya worry, I don't buy fur..heck, I don't really buy anything new. But, I don't deny pre-loved fur. This beautiful fur collar belonged to a friend of a friend's great-grandma, and somehow it ended up in my closet :) That's actually how the majority of my clothes gets to me, all hand-me-downs from family, friends, even strangers! I love getting pre-loved pieces and giving them new life, making them my own!

I'm thinking I can wear this look again for a Christmas party, just have my hair in an up-do, add red lipstick and some nice jewelry. Whattaya think?

Confessions From My First Trimester

I'm going to admit that my First Trimester of pregnancy wasn't as fun as I thought it be, hahaha. I had heard stories of moms not having any symptoms of morning sickness and other's who were puking either in the morning or all day.  For some reason I thought it was going to be a breeze for me…as it was for my mom (she never had morning sickness with any of her pregnancies!)

Girrrrl, was I wrong! It's probably the worst I've ever felt in my life...no pain, just all sorts of uncomfortable! Imagine having the worst hangover of your life EVERYDAY for 3+ months? Walking around with an upset stomach, feeling like you have to puke every step, every smell, sight and even thought of meat made you gag. Blah! Oh right, and absolutely having no energy at all…the worst. Ugh, I am so happy those months are behind me.

My nausea was so bad, I had to carry bottle of spearmint essential oil with me at all times, and rub it on my wrists and take deep breaths to try to relieve it, especially on public transit. I got all sorts of crazy eyes from people thinking I was probably sniffing something else ahahaha.

A lot of questions get asked when people find out that you are pregnant, which can also be a little annoying and uncomfortable. One of the popular questions was "did you guys plan it?" Ugh, just the worst question I think, seriously, what do you care if it was planned or not? What difference will it make if I answer this question?

Another question that was asked often is "are you guys ready?" I'd just gave them a blank stare followed by laughing. Yes, I completely ignored the question and let them interpret my reaction how they pleased. I think parenting/raising a child is a natural instinct.

Ohh and my favourite "you don't look pregnant" comment… *rolls eyes* hahaha. I don't know if this is a dis or a compliment?

The second trimester has been different from the first, PHEW!! I am so excited that I'm almost finished my Second Trimester, I can't wait for the Third. Closer to being able to have my baby in my arms!!!

What's confession do you have about your first trimester?

Se el dueño de tu propio destino! #SomosAmway #Ad
